Brenda Shalloo is a laboratory professional with over 20 years of analytical laboratory experience. Having previously owned and/or operated environmental and cannabis labs over the course of her career, she has developed the ability to implement and execute compliance programs to meet the EPA and cannabis regulation requirements. Additionally, Brenda has been an ISO 17025 auditor certified for the past 7 years.
As a cannabis pioneer, she co-founded the first medical marijuana testing facility in the state of Arizona, fourth in the entire nation, and the first female principal/scientist in the cannabis market.
During her tenure in Nevada, she oversaw the completion and buildout of a licensed marijuana laboratory which required a deep dive into regulations and close cooperation with state regulators. This experience culminated in Brenda being appointed the Chair of the Independent Laboratory Advisory Committee (ILAC) for the state of Nevada.
After moving to Massachusetts, she, launched another start-up laboratory from inception to one of the leading laboratories in the state and helped them expand into 2 additional states.
Working in several states has given Brenda a "big picture" perspective and a well-rounded knowledge base. She is fluent in the nuts & bolts minutiae of the testing itself while being able to navigate client interaction and support, sample management, and maintaining turn-around times.
Adam Shalloo is a professional cultivator with 25 years of cannabis experience. He obtained his finance degree from Arizona State and began managing his own derivatives trading company while learning how to cultivate for Medical Marijuana patients. Adam then began learning the art of creating concentrates and edibles, which allowed him to provide patients with additional sources of medication and furthered his understanding of proper dosing techniques. During this time, he obtained the skills necessary to be a critical thinker and manage projects under regulatory oversight.
Having moved to Las Vegas, Adam quickly obtained a job as the Director of Cultivation, where he successfully completed the cultivation built out, executed a successful garden from seed, and grew quality cannabis that continuously passed Nevada State testing requirements. He then accepted a position as the U.S. Director of Cultivation for an international cannabis corporation to expand his knowledge and gain additional experience. The responsibilities of this venture would include the oversight of cultivations in three different states in the United States and advising on all international locations.
After moving to Massachusetts, Adam built out an old mill building into a sophisticated cultivation where he grew one of the largest canopies in the State, which subsequently produced a 50% overage of estimated canopy expectations. He then ventured into Maine where he assisted a vertically integrated company in streamlining processes in cultivation, packaging and production which saved the company production time, money, and increased canopy yields, all while directing the buildout of another advanced cultivation. This experience has given Adam the expertise on all aspects of cultivation, including irrigation, pre and post-harvest, packaging, pest management, Metrc, regulatory compliance, and overall operations.
