Brenda Shalloo is a laboratory professional with over 25 years of analytical lab experience, including ownership and leadership roles across multiple regulated environments. Throughout her career, she has successfully implemented and executed compliance programs aligned with state, national, and international regulatory requirements. Brenda has been an ISO/IEC 17025 certified internal auditor since 2017 and became a certified Lead Assessor in 2024.
Brenda discovered her passion for laboratory operations early on, when she stepped into a Laboratory Manager role at a start-up lab and quickly embraced the complexities of running a full-service operation. As an entrepreneur, she went on to co-found the first medical marijuana testing lab in Arizona—only the fourth in the nation—and became the first female principal scientist in the cannabis testing space.
While in Nevada, Brenda led the buildout and licensing of an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory, working closely with state regulators and assessors to meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. Her expertise and leadership earned her the role of Chair for the Independent Laboratory Advisory Committee (ILAC) for the state of Nevada.
After relocating to Massachusetts, Brenda launched another start-up lab from the ground up—growing it into one of the state’s top-performing facilities and helping expand operations into two additional states.
Brenda’s work across multiple states has given her a “big picture” view of the laboratory industry. She brings a rare combination of technical depth and operational insight, with hands-on experience in compliance, client relations, sample management, and operational efficiency.
Adam Shalloo is an accomplished operations and cultivation expert with over 25 years of experience leading large-scale agricultural facilities and high-compliance environments. With a background in Global Business from Arizona State University and early entrepreneurial experience in derivatives trading, Adam developed a sharp analytical mindset that has served him well in managing complex, regulated operations.
His career in regulated cultivation began with hands-on learning and quickly evolved into leadership. As Director of Cultivation in Las Vegas, Adam oversaw the full buildout and launch of a production facility, leading operations from seed to harvest with consistent success in meeting stringent quality and compliance benchmarks.
Adam later accepted the role of U.S. Director of Cultivation for an international corporation, where he managed multi-state cultivation operations and provided strategic oversight for facilities across the country. His responsibilities included operational planning, team leadership, and compliance management across three states and multiple international sites.
In Massachusetts, Adam transformed an industrial mill into a high-output cultivation facility, ultimately delivering one of the largest and most efficient canopy operations in the state—exceeding production forecasts by over 50%. He then expanded his impact in Maine, where he helped a vertically integrated company optimize workflows across cultivation, packaging, and production, resulting in significant cost savings and yield improvements.
Adam brings deep expertise in all aspects of regulated facility operations, including system design, irrigation, pre- and post-harvest processes, packaging, pest management, regulatory compliance (including Metrc), and team management. His leadership style combines strategic thinking with practical, hands-on execution—making him an invaluable asset to any high-output, compliance-driven operation.
